Kimberly has been my doula (natural birthing coach) for my past two deliveries. Kimberly’s career is supporting mother’s as they labor through bringing their child into the world. Kimberly watches mother’s unite with their own children, all while there was a hole in her own heart as she hasn’t known her own birth mom. A precious DNA ancestry gift from a client, began to open the door for Kimberly and her birth mom to be reconnected. The test connected her to a cousin and eventually to her mom. 40 years later, they are united! When she asked me to take photos of their reunion birth, I was honored. Kimberly’s story of adoption, how she found her birth mom is simply beautiful. I love how God is true to His word: “Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” Just like birth stories, the long time of laboring is quickly overlooked and forgotten, as a mother embraces her beautiful baby. I pray this too would be for Kimberly and her mom–that their togetherness now would overshadow the years apart! Kimberly shared her story here and I know that it is well worth reading. Thank you Kimberly for the honor and joy of capturing these for you and your mom.
When a pregnant woman glows…it isn’t because it is August in East Tennessee, but because she is absolutely stunning! I loved everything about this session! The morning couldn’t of been anymore perfect. And Hannah. Beautiful. I absolutely can’t wait to meet their sweet little man in a couple of weeks!
This sweet lady entered the world via surrogate birth. Their sweet story is certainly a beautiful one. For now, her sweet face won’t make an appearance…but as you can tell…she is loved & I promise beautiful…all the photos are just precious…wedding pearls, vintage bassinet, lots of snuggles and kisses.
All boy: dirt, sweat, chasing him around the park, getting too close to the water, jumping from the playground…this session certainly showed me the adventerous spirit of little boys my daughter’s age. Mom & me were worn out after this session at the park. I told her she was super mom!! It wouldn’t be a toddler session without wiping tears and little hands. Love this little guy and his sweet mom!
It’s been a growing season!! My family is growing as we are adding a sweet little bundle this July! Our other one turned two and continues to amaze us with smarts, sweet spirit and how big they grow! My Mops (Mothers of Preschoolers) group is growing and we have a fabulous theme for next year, “Be You Bravely!” Our garden is growing with each rainfall. To watch little seeds (both literally & figuratively) grow and flourish is such an incredible blessing!! I have been one busy mama & wife. And thanks to a fabulous camera I am capturing this growth on film!
What a fun afternoon to spend with this family! The Grist Mill below Norris Dam is a beautiful, rustic, natural location with stunning options for fall photos. This family was full of humor and I enjoyed watching boys be boys. The saying couldn’t be more true. Levi and Will were the embodiment of it. I enjoyed the fall afternoon, this family and a new location!
Welcome to the World B!
This beautiful boy entered a big family, six buckaroos and surrounded by love! Your family has been anticipating your arrival. At 2 weeks old, it was precious to see his smile, yawns, piercing eyes, strength, tender sleep and newborn cries. It was my pleasure to capture these for this dear family!
